The first driver to lift the FIA Formula 1 drivers championship was Alberto Ascari. The Italian was also Ferrari’s first double world champion. Alberto Ascari sadly died while testing a car he was due to race in on May 26th 1955 at the age of 36. Strangely his death mirrored his fathers years earlier. Quote…
