Fact: Jochen Rindt was the first World Champion of the 1970s but also the first and only driver to win the championship posthumously. He died in a practice session at Monza.

Fact: Niki Lauda won his first World Championship in 1975 for Ferrari. It was the first F1 title in the 70s for Ferrari and its first in 11 years since John Surtees won one in 1964.
