Lotus81B-4 small

From the listing:

The Lotus Type 81B was a further development of the World Championship winning Type 79. This evolved into the Type 80-Type 81 and the 81B. Designed by Colin Chapman, Tony Rudd and Peter Wright with all the lessons learned. The 81B was a ground effects car with an aluminum monocoque, Cosworth DFV V8, Hewland FG 5-speed gearbox, double wishbone suspension, coil springs and shocks. It looked splendid in Essex livery. The 81B/4 as well as first-time F1 driver, Nigel Mansell, made their race debut at the Austrian Grand Prix in Zeltweg. 81B/4 went onto be driven by Mansell again at the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort and then in practice for the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. More recently it has been raced with the HGP in historic F1 events in the USA.

Professionally prepared by James Watt Racing during Mike Wrigley’s ownership in the UK. Then by Bud Bennett’s RM Motorsports during long-time racer Rudy Junco’s ownership in the USA. Most recently prepared by original 1980 Lotus F1 team mechanic Phil Denny through his shop PRD Engineering in Sonoma, California. Fresh, low time Cosworth DFV V8 rebuild by RM Motorsports. Excellent race preparation with detailed receipts for all work.
